"Yet I will rejoice in the Lord."
Wrestling with God's justice, he finds faith through questioning.
A journey from the silence of God to the strength of high places.

"I cried out...
You were silent...
I waited...
And still...
You burned the sky."
Why do You watch
With folded arms
While the wicked rise
And the faithful are harmed?
Your eyes see blood
But blink away.
I prayed for justice...
You sent decay.
Will You not speak?
Will You not move?
Is silence proof
That I accuse?
Though the fig tree fades,
And the fields don't grow...
Though the flocks are gone,
And the rivers slow...
Still I'll stand...
Still I'll sing...
You are the fire
That fuels my wings.
I walked the walls
Of ruined thought.
I screamed for answers —
But answers rot.
The storm replied,
But not with peace.
The heavens turned...
And swallowed me.
"Though the fig tree shall not blossom,
Neither shall fruit be on the vine...
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
I will joy... in the God... of my salvation."
Though the fig tree fades,
And the house decays...
Though the music dies,
Still my soul will praise.
He makes my feet
Like the deer on stone...
I climb this mountain
Though I climb alone.
"The Lord God is my strength...
He makes me walk...
On high places...
Above the fall."
Habakkuk 1:2 & 5:
"O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save! ... Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you."
Habakkuk 3:17–19:
"Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat... yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places."
