"The great day of the Lord is near."
A sweeping vision of judgment — and the promise of restoration.
A warning to the proud and a song of joy for the remnant gathered by the King.

"The great day of the Lord is near...
It is near...
And it hasteth greatly."
Fire in the streets, panic in the gates,
Silver and gold won't negotiate.
The merchants fall, the towers bleed —
The day of wrath will not concede.
He comes with thunder in His breath,
A storm of vengeance, smoke, and death.
No refuge found in flesh or stone —
Your idols crack beneath His throne.
You laughed at truth,
You mocked His name...
But justice rides
Through flood and flame.
The storm is coming —
The storm is here.
The voice of God
You refused to hear.
The storm is coming —
And none shall stand.
The great day burns
Across the land.
"Blood on the steps of the gate you loved,
Ashes rise where pride once shoved.
He searches the city with a candle's flame —
And every lie will know its name."
"Their silver and their gold shall not deliver them...
The whole land shall be devoured...
By the fire of His jealousy."
But in the ash, a remnant sings...
The broken healed by exiled kings.
The Lord has taken away the curse,
And turned the sword into a verse.
No more fear —
No more shame.
He gathers those
Who bear His name.
The storm has passed —
But not in vain.
The King is near —
And He shall reign.
"The Lord your God in the midst of thee is mighty...
He will save...
He will rejoice over thee with singing."
Zephaniah 1:14-15:
"The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness."
Zephaniah 1:17-18:
"And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD... Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy:"
Zephaniah 3:14 & 17:
"Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem... The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."
