"The glory of the Lord lifted high above the cherubim."
A priest turned prophet, Ezekiel beheld visions of glory and desolation.
From the river Chebar to the valley of dry bones, he saw the Spirit of God move across time and nations.

"I saw a storm approaching from the north —
a great cloud with fire enfolding itself.
Four living creatures, faces like lion, eagle, ox, and man.
Wheels within wheels, covered in eyes.
Above them, a throne of sapphire.
And above the throne — the likeness of a man, shining like fire."
By the river Chebar, He came like flame,
With creatures wild and not of name.
The heavens opened, light broke through,
And I saw things no man should view.
Wheels within wheels, turning high,
Covered in eyes that pierced the sky.
The Spirit moved, the wind obeyed,
The throne above like fire arrayed.
Lifted high above the storm,
The glory rides in radiant form.
A prophet falls, the Lord reveals —
Through burning eyes and turning wheels.
Then came the bones, dry in the land,
Scattered like dust by heaven's hand.
He said, "Prophesy, O son of man,"
And breath returned where death had spanned.
"And it shall come to pass at the same time,
when Gog shall come against the land of Israel,
that My fury shall come up in My face.
For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath have I spoken:
Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel."
"Can these bones live?" I answered, "Lord,
Only You know what they are for."
He said, "Speak life, and I will breathe,"
And from the grave rose ancient seed.
Lifted high and filled with flame,
The glory calls me by my name.
A wind has blown, a storm has turned,
And I will speak what I have learned.
"This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.
And when I saw it... I fell upon my face,
and I heard a voice... of one that spake."
Ezekiel 1:26–28:
"And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. ... This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake."
Ezekiel 37:4–5:
"Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:"
Ezekiel 38:18–19:
"And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;"
