8. A Banquet for Swine

A Banquet for Swine is about being dragged as a child into a night of drunken
cruelty — left hungry in the dark while adults feasted, forced onto the knee
of a predator, and abandoned by the one who should have protected him,
as a fallen angel discovers the very worst of what it means to be human.

Track 8: A Banquet for Swine
Verse 1

The midnight drive ended in the Jersey dark,
A neon glow leaving a dirty mark.
I stepped inside to a roaring crowd,
The laughter jagged, the voices loud.
This wasn't a home, it was a cage of glass,
Where broken people let the bottles pass.
My mother's hand slipped away from mine...
Left to the wolves at the end of the line.

Chorus

A banquet for swine! A feast for the cruel!
Where the old man laughs and the drunkards rule!
They revel in sin while the children are starved,
Look at the scars that the hunger has carved!
Abandoned and cold in the suffocating night...
The fallen star is losing its light!

Verse 2

Thrown in a room by the kitchen light,
Through a cracked open door in the savage night.
The stench of the liquor, the smoke, and piss,
The sounds of the swine in a dark abyss.
Two hollow boys with sunken eyes,
Staring at me through the midnight cries.
No blankets of warmth, just planks of wood,
A rotting sanctuary where nothing is good.
I am four years old in a mortal shell...
But I know the architecture of hell.

Chorus

A banquet for swine! A feast for the cruel!
Where the old man laughs and the drunkards rule!
They revel in sin while the children are starved,
Look at the scars that the hunger has carved!
Abandoned and cold in the suffocating night...
The fallen star is losing its light!

Bridge 1: The Encounter

Dragged from the dark to the blinding light,
Into the smoke of the drunken night.
Forced on the knee of a rotting man,
With a liquor breath and a heavy hand.
He smiled at me with two sharp fangs...
A vampire's grin while the laughter rang.
"Call me Grandpa," the monster said...
Before they threw me back to the wooden bed.

Bridge 2: The Hunger

We sat in the dark with our empty veins!
Listening to the gluttons chewing their chains!
My cousin crept out when the monsters were fed...
Stealing the crusts just to keep us from dead!
They stuffed their faces... blind to our despair...
As if the three of us were never even there!

Chorus

A banquet for swine! A feast for the cruel!
Where the old man laughs and the drunkards rule!
They revel in sin while the children are starved,
Look at the scars that the hunger has carved!
Abandoned and cold in the suffocating night...
The fallen star is losing its light!

Outro

Torn from a home of warmth and light...
Thrown to my mother's family in the dead of night.
A bloodline of abusers... predators in the dark.
Waiting to leave their sick and twisted mark.
The heavens are shut.
The mother departed.
And my personal hell... has only just begun.
