Zephoniel – Rise From the Ruins
The Heavenly Host Defiled
TRACK #1
By Thomas J. Allen, © 2025
Image: A haunting portrayal of the moment the heavenly host fell from grace — angels descend in solemn majesty, halos still aglow, as they reach toward the daughters of men. One kneels to accept a sword, a symbol of corrupted dominion. Behind them, a vast procession of watchers fills the storm-lit sky, bearing witness to the forbidden union that would birth the Nephilim. A visual echo of rebellion cloaked in beauty, where the divine met desire — and judgment began.
Verse 1
In heaven's halls, the angels roamed,
Their beauty unmatched, a sight to behold.
But then temptation came to the host defiled,
With women on earth, their love unbridled.
Chorus
The Heavenly Host Defiled.
Angels mated with women, creating Nephilim.
God got mad — this love was banned,
A true abomination in His holy land.
Verse 2 (x2)
These offspring were giants of might,
With powers beyond our imagination.
But they brought with them God's frustration,
For they were not of His creation.
Chorus
The Heavenly Host Defiled.
Angels mated with women, creating Nephilim.
God got mad — this love was banned,
A true abomination in His holy land.
Bridge
The Lord's anger — it burned like fire,
His holy wrath could not be contained.
The Nephilim were cast out into the mire,
Their existence now forever stained.
Chorus
The Heavenly Host Defiled.
Angels mated with women, creating Nephilim.
God got mad — this love was banned,
A true abomination in His holy land.
Outro
The Host Defiled, a tale of old,
Of love that dared to cross the line.
But in the end, it cost them their hold,
In God's kingdom, it was forever confined.
