Zephoniel – Rise From the Ruins
World Turned Upside Down
TRACK #6

Watchers giving sword and taking wives
Image: A chilling vision of a world consumed by deception. A false priest holds the Bible with a smirk, while a man draped in pride colors poses as Christ. A woman clutches money with serene delight, and a man takes a selfie, blinded by vanity — all while the earth burns behind them. Good is called evil, and evil good. This is the age foretold in Scripture — hearts hardened, truth twisted, and godliness worn like a costume. The world has turned upside down... and judgment waits.

Intro

"Mark this... there will be terrible times."

Verse 1

They worship self, not sacrifice,
Trade truth for fame, love for vice.
Fathers fallen, children curse,
Hearts grown colder, getting worse.

Verse 2

Boastful, brutal, drunk with pride,
Their conscience sold, their souls denied.
Mockers dressed in holy gowns,
Preaching lies with crooked crowns.

Chorus

The world turned upside down —
Black is white, and lost is found.
They call it freedom, but wear the chain,
Choking on pleasure, blind to the flame.

Verse 3

They smile with teeth like open graves,
Lovers of money, enslaved by praise.
No mercy left, no sacred vow —
Only chaos rules them now.

Bridge

They claim to know God... but kill His name.
They wear His Word... yet feel no shame.
Always learning — never awake,
Denying the power they fake.

Final Chorus

The world turned upside down —
God is mocked, and evil crowned.
But the fire is set, the scroll is read,
And soon the Judge will raise the dead.

Outro

"Terrible times... lovers of self... denying the power..."
"The world turned upside down..."

Scripture References

Bible Isaiah 5:20 (KJV): "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" 2 Timothy 3:1-7 (KJV): "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
